Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

I have been trying various #fabfoursmoothies as I read Body Love Every Day by Kelly Leveque. This fall version of the fab four smoothie tastes like a pumpkin pie and is full of macronutrients.
Pro tip: This recipe does not call for the entire can of pumpkin purée so freeze the remainder of the can use for your next smoothie.
Pumpkin Pie Smoothie Ingredients
- Unsweetened Almond Milk
- Cauliflower (optional can substitute for spinach)
- Pumpkin Purée
- Almond Butter
- Chia Seeds
- Flax Seeds
- Unflavored Collagen Peptides
- Cinnamon
- Pumpkin Pie Seasoning
- Banana (optional)
- Pumpkin Seeds (optional)
Freeze Cauliflower – Optional
Prepare for your smoothie by freezing the cauliflower. Cauliflower takes on the flavors of the smoothie, creates a thicker consistency, and does not add any sugar. It is like adding three bananas but not getting any of the sugar from the bananas and still getting the milkshake consistency.
Frozen Banana- Optional
I have made this with and without a banana. If you like your smoothie a bit sweeter, add 1/4 cup of chopped frozen bananas. Frozen bananas also help with consistency. By adding a 1/4 a cup of bananas it is enough to make the smoothie sweet but not enough to spike your blood sugar.
How do I make this smoothie?
Place all ingredients into a high-powered blender and blend to desired consistency. If you are using a Vitamix, use the tamper to blend everything quickly. Top it with cinnamon and pumpkin seeds.
