Matcha Collagen Latte
This Matcha Collagen Latte is a summer must-have. It is sweetened with raw honey and half a banana and full of protein and caffeine. Talk about a great start to your morning or a wonderful mid-afternoon snack!
Why should I use matcha collagen?
Matcha collagen is a double whammy! You get the benefits of matcha and collagen in the same scoop. I love Vital Proteins Matcha Collagen. It is a natural pick me up that you have to try.
Matcha is amazing! It is made with the entire tea leaf resulting in more caffeine than regular tea. I am starting to like coffee but have always been a big tea drinker. I love how matcha gives you that extra boost of caffeine that regular tea just can’t. Matcha is also full of antioxidants.
I got on the collagen kick a few years ago. I was always complaining that my hair would not grow. I started making matcha collagen lattes or put a scoop (or two!) of collagen in my tea each morning. After a few months, I noticed that the collagen was really helping my skin and nails and my hair finally started growing!
How do I make a matcha collagen latte?
In a highspeed blender. add almond milk, Vital Proteins Matcha Collagen, frozen banana, ice cubes, and raw honey. Blend on high for one to two minutes or until it starts to get frothy. Serve over ice or by itself.
Is this latte sweet?
You can make it as sweet as you want! I sweeten mine with half a banana and raw honey. The frozen banana helps make the latte a little sweeter and adds to the frozen texture too. The latte does not have an overpowering taste of banana either! Raw honey is one of my favorite ways to sweeten anything. I LOVE Stockin’s Alfalfa Raw Honey. It is hands down my favorite honey. Any honey will work for this recipe. Add more honey if you want it to be sweeter.
Make it a meal and pair this latte with a homemade morning glory muffin! I also like to spread Stockin’s Alfalfa on my muffins!
