Mango Ginger Smoothie
This smoothie is like a spicy creamsicle. It is made with fresh ingredients and hidden veggies. You’d never guess that there are tomatoes in it. This Mango Ginger Smoothie will help you beat the heat this summer.
Ingredients used to make a Mango Ginger Smoothie
- Almond milk: Unsweetened original or unsweetened vanilla work for this recipe.
- Ice: Just a little bit of ice to get a thicker consistency.
- Frozen mango: Frozen mangos will also help get a thicker consistency.
- Cherry tomatoes: Why not! They add a subtle sweet flavor to the smoothie and lots of nutrients.
- Ginger: Make sure you use fresh ginger. I love ginger! It adds a spicy flavor to this smoothie.
- Almond butter: Adding almond butter will help keep you full longer. It also adds a great nutty taste.
- Flaxseed: Add in some fiber. Substitute for chia seeds if you do not have flax seeds around.
- Vanilla protein powder: Primal Kitchen Vanilla Collagen Fuel is my favorite protein powder. Not only is it packed with protein and tastes good but It is good for your hair, skin, and nails.
- Spinach (optional): Adding spinach will turn your smoothie green but does not add any flavor.
