How do I make salmon burgers?
First make the sriracha aioli. Place all of the ingredients into a small bowl and mix together. Place in the refrigerator to use later.
Next, remove the skin from the salmon and debone if necessary. After that, cut the salmon into chunks and place into the food processor. Add minced shallot, lemon juice and zest, basil, rosemary, garlic powder, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper to the food processor. Slowly pulse until everything is mixed together. The consistency of the mixture should be similar to ground chicken. Remove the blade from the food processor and separate the mixture into four equal parts. Next, create patties with your hards. If it is sticky, spray your hands with olive oil or any cooking spray.
Next, heat a large skillet over medium heat and spray with olive oil or your choice of cooking spray. Place salmon patties on the pan and cover. Cook each side for 4-6 minutes. Remove from heat and serve on a bun or by themselves.
Top them with your homemade sriracha aioli and your favorite burger toppings.
