Healthy Snickers Bars
Homemade candy bars are easy to make and they don’t have preservatives, artificial flavors, or any unknown ingredients. Healthy snickers bars have a chewy date caramel filling, oat and almond flour cookie, and are dipped in semi-sweet chocolate.
Snickers are one of my favorite candy bars. These bars do not disappoint! The date caramel filling really makes these bars. It is creamy, sweet, and the consistency helps create the perfect snickers bar texture.
Healthy Snickers Bar ingredients

How do I make these snickers bars?
First, line a loaf pan with parchment paper and then begin by making the caramel filling.
In a bowl, cover pitted dates with boiling water. Let the dates soak for 15 minutes to soften. Drain the water then add dates, peanut butter, a pinch of salt, and water to a blender. Blend for about two minutes or until all the ingredients are evenly combined.
Next, make the cookie base.
In a mixing bowl, combine oat and almond flour. After that, add caramel filling, peanut butter, and honey. Using a spoon mix the ingredients to form the dough. The dough should be a little sticky. If it is too sticky add a little more oat flour. Press the cookie base into the pan. Next, scoop the caramel layer on top. Press peanuts into the caramel. Place in the freezer to harden for 1 hour.
Once the bars harden, melt chocolate chips and coconut oil in the microwave in 30-second intervals. Make sure you mix it each time.
Slice into 8 equal bars and dip them into the melted chocolate. Place in the freezer to harden for 20 minutes. Drizzle with remaining chocolate and sprinkle sea salt.
Then… enjoy them because they are REALLY good! It is hard to just have one.
