Healthy Baked Buffalo Wings

These Healthy Baked Buffalo Wings are full of flavor, crispy, and easy to make.  Sports may be postponed but these will spice up your weekend. Made with only 6 ingredients: chicken wings, garlic powder, salt, pepper, Frank’s Hot Sauce, and honey.

Ingredients Used to Make Healthy Baked Buffalo Wings

It only takes a few ingredients to make these wings!

  • Chicken Wings
  • Garlic Powder
  •  Salt
  • Pepper
  • Frank’s Hot Sauce: Frank’s is my go-to hot sauce. If you have another one you like better, any hot sauce will work!
  • Honey: Honey will sweeten and thicken the hot sauce to make it more of a wing sauce

What makes these buffalo wings healthy?

First off, they baked and not fried. Baking the wings on a wire rack still provides them to get crispy, and you don’t have all the fats and oils that come with fried food.

Wing sauce also has a lot of added sugars. This recipe uses hot sauce (which has no sugar added) and sweetens it naturally with honey.

How to Make Healthy Baked Buffalo Wings

Begin by preheating the oven to 400ºF.

Next, pat dry all of the wings with a paper towel. By patting them dry, they will get extra crispy. Once they are all dried, sprinkle both sides with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Next, place the wings on a wired rack. After that, bake them for 10 minutes, flip them, and bake for another 10 minutes (or until they look fully cooked)

While the wings are cooking, prepare the wing sauce. In a large mixing bowl, stir together Frank’s Hot Sauce and honey. Remove wings from the oven and toss them in the hot sauce mixture. After that, place them back on the wire rack and bake for another 5 minutes.
