Grilled Lemon Chicken with Whipped Feta
This Grilled Lemon Chicken will become a BBQ favorite. Made with tons of spices and fresh herbs, it is the perfect summertime meal. Top it off with creamy whipped feta and some grilled broccolini.
Grilled Lemon Chicken with Whipped Feta Ingredients
Chicken Marinade
You will love this marinade. It is full of flavor and simple to make. The longer you marinate the chicken, the better!
- Olive oil
- Red wine vinegar
- Lemon: Fresh lemon juice is the best.
- Spices: Smoked paprika, cumin, cayenne pepper, cinnamon, red pepper flakes, salt, pepper, fresh ginger, and minced garlic.
- Parsley: Just cut the fresh parsley into small pieces.
- Mint: Same for the mint! The fresh herbs add a lot of flavor.
Whipped Feta
I wanted to dip everything into this feta after I made it. It is simultaneously creamy, zesty, and fresh. It cuts the spice of the chicken perfectly.
- Feta: Crumbled or a block of feta work for this recipe.
- Plain Greek yogurt: I used nonfat Greek yogurt. Any type will work, just make sure it is plain.
- Sour cream: Just one tablespoon. If you’d rather just do Greek yogurt, add one more tablespoon of that. Both work!
- Olive oil: This will help get that creamy consistency.
- Lemon: Juice half of a lemon.
- Fresh mint and parsley: Nothing like fresh herbs!
- Red pepper flakes: If you do not want it spicy, skip the red pepper flakes.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
Grilled Broccolini
One of my favorite vegetables to grill! They get super crispy and hold so much flavor.
- Broccolini- I love grilling broccolini! it is big enough that can stick it right on the grill!
- Olive oil- I suggest using the spray olive oil. It really covered the broccolini.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
How to make grilled lemon chicken
Begin by making the marinade. In a mixing bowl, add olive oil, red wine vinegar, lemon juice, smoked paprika, cumin, cayenne pepper, cinnamon, red pepper flakes, grated ginger, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Next, chop the fresh parsley and mint into small pieces and then mix it into the marinade. Add the chicken and toss to coat each side. Marinate for 1 hour or up to overnight in the fridge.
To make the whipped feta, add all ingredients in a blender or food processor. Blend until creamy.
Grilling the chicken and broccolini.
Set the grill on medium-high heat. Coat each side of the broccolini with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Add chicken and broccolini to the grill. Grill each side of the chicken for 5- 6 minutes. Grill broccolini for no longer than 10 minutes, frequently flipping.
Add some whipped feta to your chicken and broccolini and enjoy!

- 4 oz feta
- 4 tbsp plain greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp sour cream
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ½ lemon juiced
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh mint chopped
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste

- 1 pack broccolini

- salt to taste
