Sriracha Peanut Sauce Ingredients

How to Make Asian-Inspired Chicken Lettuce Wraps

First, begin by sauteing the shallot and red onion in olive oil. Next, add in the garlic and ginger. Once fragrant, add the ground chicken and cook it. Make sure you continue to toss the chicken and onion mixture, allowing everything to cook evenly.

While the chicken is cooking, prepare your sauce by combining soy sauce, sesame oil, all-natural peanut butter, ginger, garlic, salt, and pepper in a jar.

Add half of the sriracha peanut sauce to the ground chicken. Stir until well combined, then reduce the heat and let it simmer while you prepare the lettuce wraps.

Serve into doubled up lettuce cups and top with sriracha peanut sauce and crushed peanuts.

What kind of lettuce to use to lettuce wraps

No matter which lettuce wrap you use, make sure you double them up.  They will be sturdier allowing you to add more filling!

  • Romaine lettuce-  is great to use for these lettuce wraps because romaine leaves are bigger than the other options and hold more. The middle can be difficult to bend. By trimming the thicker part of the romaine, it easier to make it into a wrap.

  • Butter/Bib lettuce– is a great choice if you do not have romaine. These leaves are smaller but will still hold the mixture very well.
